FROM SHTETL TO STATEHOOD

The modern day exodus of a people’s heroic passage to their promised land marks their prophetic return from Sthetl to statehood 60 celebratory years ago. Biblically, it serves to remind us some 6000 years later achieving and believing in miracles have not yet passed us by. To acknowledge Israel’s diamond jubilee year Selwyn Klass with his ensemble Klass Act, devised a musical narrative to commemorate this auspicious journey.
