LITERACY PROJECT

Recently an international survey on the reading skills of school children was conducted. The results of this survey indicated that the reading skills in South Africa are presently amongst the lowest in the world. Educators, Stan Lederman and his wife Lindy have for many years been involved in a Reading Comprehension Skills Development Programme. Simcha was fortunate to be part of the launch of their first pilot project at Northview High School in Johannesburg.

JEWISH IDOL SONG

The first ever Y-Idols took place earlier this year in Jo’burg and was a huge success.  Runner-up Alicia Pam wowed the audience with her rendition of Donna Summer’s ‘Could it be Magic’
