YIDDISH FESTIVAL

Who would have thought that a so-called dying language, associated with another time and place, would be celebrated here in South Africa today! The original Leah Todres Yiddish Song Festival started in Cape Town in 2001 has certainly expanded. Ich Zing! Let us Sing is the 8th Annual Yiddish Song Festival which was recently held at the Baxter Theatre, Cape Town.

THE MIDRASHA ADULT EDUCATION INSTITUTE

The Midrasha Adult Education Institute addresses the needs of adult Jewish learners, wanting to develop a sound Jewish knowledge base and move one step further on their Jewish journey. Established in 2006, the Midrasha has the potential to both import and design a wide range of interesting programmes to cater for adult learners.
