The Power Within is an inspiring, engaging magazine show hosted by Vanessa Marawa on SABC3. Each week we inspire our viewers by celebrating ordinary women who are making steady strides in their lives. Whether they are making their mark in the business world, the arts, the political arena, in their communities or on the sports field, these phenomenal women have found success and happiness because they have switched on their inner power. This holistic television program is also packed with numerous features that explore issues ranging from health, lifestyle and beauty, to spiritual and environmental matters.

The Power Within is a weekly magazine show that takes viewers on an entertaining, empowering and uplifting journey. Host, Vanessa Marawa introduces us to a broad spectrum of inspiring South African women from different walks of life, and explores the various lifestyle issues that women deal with on a daily basis.

Bridging the gap between the documentary and the magazine show, The Power Within provides women with a platform to share their diverse life paths and tell their own stories.

Some of the women featured have faced enormous challenges, ranging from trauma and health issues to loss and tragedy. Others have found great success by breaking barriers, taking great leaps of faith and making a difference in the lives of others. What all these women have had in common is the fact that they have trusted the power within themselves to overcome the challenges that they face, and resiliently followed their destinies.

Through our exciting segments, we provide viewers with a comprehensive guide to all the facets of their lives. We explore the importance of creating personal spaces, lifestyle issues, health, grooming, cultivating your own style, eco-friendly living, raising awareness around numerous topical issues and developing and maintaining a healthy, positive mindset.

Through the Spirit Sister Network we strive to connect women and interact with viewers, encouraging them to send in their stories and let us know about the inspirational sisters in their own lives, who are breaking their own glass ceilings, and in doing so paving the way for other women.

The overarching aim of The Power Within is to encourage viewers to connect with something deep within and switch on their inner power, so that they too can give themselves the freedom to fearlessly pursue their passions, tackle the challenges they are presented with head on and truly live the life of their dreams.
